Do you want a sports coaching apprenticeship? Wingate Centre is looking for a sports and fitness fan with training for Level 2 qualification provided by Sportscape Education

Are you passionate about inclusive sports and fitness?

Do you have an interest in working with individuals with disabilities and special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?

The Wingate Centre in Wrenbury, Nantwich, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Level 2 Community Activator Coach Apprentice to join their dedicated team.

The Wingate Centre is renowned for providing exceptional residential holidays, day activities, and fitness programmes tailored specifically for people with neurodiversity and learning disabilities.

Its mission is to ensure that everyone, regardless of ability, has equal access to opportunities that enhance their quality of life and wellbeing.

The Centre boasts a variety of facilities and programmes, including Rebound Therapy, fitness and wellbeing sessions, and creative arts.

As part of this role, Sportscape Education will provide the training required for the Level 2 Community Activator Coach qualification.

This apprenticeship is ideal for those aged 16 and over who are eager to learn and thrive in a career centered around inclusive sports.

An interest or qualification in gymnastics is desirable but not essential, as the primary focus is on fostering an environment where all participants can grow in confidence, improve their health, and enhance their mental wellbeing.

The Level 2 Community Activator Coach Apprentice qualification is designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to promote, lead, and deliver community-based sports and physical activity programmes.

This apprenticeship covers a range of competencies, including planning and organising inclusive activities, understanding the principles of coaching, engaging diverse community groups, and promoting healthy lifestyles.

Apprentices will learn how to create supportive environments that encourage participation, improve fitness, and enhance mental wellbeing, particularly for those with disabilities and special educational needs.

Through hands-on training and mentorship, apprentices gain valuable experience in fostering community engagement and driving positive social impact through sports.

If you are enthusiastic about making a difference and contributing to a centre of excellence in inclusive sports, don’t miss this opportunity!

To apply, please email your CV to info@sportscapeeducation.co.uk, and we will pass on your details to The Wingate Centre.
