Sportscape Education: Blended learning approach on functional skills for our sports coaching apprentices

At Sportscape Education, we’re committed to empowering learners with essential skills for academic and career success.

A key part of this commitment is our focus on functional skills, which cover foundational subjects like English, math, and IT—skills that are crucial for everyday tasks and further education.

To support learners’ growth, we use the the Century platform, a powerful tool that personalises learning by identifying each student’s strengths and areas for improvement.

Through Century, students work at their own pace, accessing tailored resources and interactive exercises that keep them engaged while building confidence.

For learners preparing for their functional skills tests, we offer additional revision support sessions led by specialised tutors.

These sessions are designed to reinforce key concepts, provide targeted practice, and address any questions or concerns learners may have about the exam.

The guidance from our tutors ensures that each learner receives the focused attention they need to excel.

As part of our blended learning approach, learners have the option to attend these support sessions both online and in person.

Recently, Antonio, one of our experienced tutors, delivered a dynamic session that connected students across platforms, combining the best of in-person interaction with the convenience of online learning.

This approach allows for flexibility and ensures that no student misses out, regardless of their schedule or location.

Our goal at Sportscape is to equip students with the functional skills they need to thrive.

By using modern tools and expert support, we make learning accessible, engaging, and impactful for all.
