Sportscape Education: How the heart works is key to apprentices studying Personal Training Level 3

At Sportscape Education we offer a Personal Training Level 3 apprenticeship.

This course is suited to those who are trying to get into the industry, school-leavers or those will limited experience or qualifications in the industry.

It's a perfect way for employers to employ another member of staff who will be qualified after the course and can be molded to your gym setting, policies and procedures.

The apprenticeship offers comprehensive learning, particularly in understanding the cardiovascular system, crucial for any fitness professional.

Trainees look at the heart’s structure, its functions, and how it works alongside other body systems, such as the respiratory and circulatory systems.

This knowledge is vital for trainers to ensure that their clients’ workouts align with their goals and that they are improving their cardiovascular health.

Understanding the heart’s function allows personal trainers to monitor progress effectively and recognise whether training methods are delivering the desired results.

For example, they’ll learn how the heart responds to different types of exercise and how this impacts endurance, strength, and recovery.

This training is not only foundational but directly linked to Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours (SKBs), which will be assessed during the End-Point Assessment of their apprenticeship.

By mastering this, personal trainers can confidently create effective workout programmes and make adjustments based on clients' progress and goals.

The deep understanding of the heart and body systems enables trainers to offer personalised and safe fitness plans while ensuring they help clients achieve optimal results.
