Sportscape Education: Welcome for Level 3 Outdoor Activity Instructor apprentices to their first workshop
Two senior members of staff from Sportscape Education visited the new cohort of Level 3 Outdoor Activity Instructor apprentices at Mount Cook Outdoor Centre, in Matlock, Derbyshire, for the youngsters very first workshop.
Head of Education Millie Jones and Liaison Officer Ed Parrish travelled to meet the apprentices, introduce ourselves and ensure they are fully-supported as they embark on this exciting journey.
As part of our induction process, it was important for the apprentices to meet key contacts who will be supporting them throughout their course.
Ed plays a crucial role in delivering extra support sessions and well-being assistance, ensuring apprentices stay on track both academically and personally.
Millie provides essential programme delivery and administrative support to keep everything running smoothly.
At the heart of this programme is our dedicated tutor, Phil Ball, who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the course.
Phil’s guidance will be instrumental in helping the apprentices develop the skills and confidence needed to excel in outdoor activity instruction.
The Level 3 Outdoor Activity Instructor course is designed to develop the skills required to lead and coach a variety of outdoor activities in diverse settings.
Apprentices will gain hands-on experience in activities such as climbing, kayaking, orienteering, and team-building exercises.
They will also learn essential skills in risk assessment, safety procedures, group management, and instructional techniques to ensure they can deliver high-quality outdoor education sessions.
This qualification is ideal for those looking to build a career in outdoor adventure, education, or activity tourism.
This comprehensive programme not only provides apprentices with industry-recognised qualifications, but also prepares them for real-world challenges, equipping them with leadership, communication and problem-solving skills essential for success in the field.
We wish all the new apprentices the best of luck and look forward to seeing their progress over the coming months!
